A Brutal Chest

The push up is most likely the first chest exercise that you learned long ago and the one people do almost instinctively when they try to work out.

To develop brutal chest muscles with push ups, you can either
  1. Go to the gym and bench press or
  2. Learn how to do variations of the different push ups I mentioned here.
I guarantee you'll have to stay consistent both ways, so why not go the safer route and use the calisthenic exercise method instead? (i.e. push ups!)  It is much more beneficial and natural for you to do so.

The push up still remains one of the most valuable and effective movements, provided you know how to use it to its fullest potential.  I want to give you a new sense of appreciation for the push up and to learn how to use creative push up variations to develop incredible upper body strength.

When it comes to building strength, I have not heard many coaches and instructors implementing the push up into exercise regimes. This is most likely due to the fact that they don’t feel it provides enough strength. Some may agree for sports such as football, however, there a few variations of the push ups that can be a challenge for even the strongest athlete such as:
  • One Arm Push ups
  • Clapping Push ups
Those are just to name a few.  I strongly recommend you check out the Benefits of the Push up Calisthenic Exercise Here.
